1. Non-track driver training
These can be ½ day and full day courses.
A session on understanding basic vehicle functions and their importance in achieving correct performance of car and driver. These will include:
- Seating position
- Tires and tire pressures
- Brakes, braking systems, ABS, ESC and other electronic aids.
- Defensive driving and anticipation.
This is followed by 4 practical exercises that can be tailored for ½ day or full courses. We have a number of combinations and variety of exercises totalling well over 20 combinations which we can incorporate depending on the emphasis required.
In these non-track based courses there is no speeding and all exercises are done at normal 50 kph road speeds or less. The exercises present not only a challenge, but ably demonstrate the dynamics of the vehicle.
2. Track day driver training
We offer the benefit of the formal lecture and exercises function of our non-track courses but on a race track, which is nothing more than a controlled road, together with more intensive investigation of the dynamics of the car at the limit.
Depending on the focus of the course there may be more or less exercises and more or less actual on track driving honing such skills as:
- Adopting race lines for the road and track
- Understanding the mechanics of braking. Practice at the limit
- Over-steer and under-steer
- Avoiding skids and techniques for skid control
There are many variants we can tailor to meet your requirements whether they have a larger or smaller element of training or entertainment for the client.
3. Tour guide
In these cases we would use 2 instructors regardless of the number of clients attending.
DDL’s instructors have extensive experience in setting interesting and challenging tours as we have been involved in Targa NZ for many years.
Dynamic Driving Ltd will provide Client with;
Instructors charged at a rate of $750 +GST per instructor per day
- For half-day courses the charge is $550 +GST per instructor per day
- Instructors for weekend tours at $600 +GST per instructor per day
On practical instruction courses, either ½ day or full day, we generally work on a 5:1 client/instructor ratio.
- DDL provides all the instructional materials. This may include handouts, exercise materials and certificates. Any audio-visual screens or TVs may be hired or borrowed.
- DDL provides practical exercise equipment such as cones, markings, timing and signaling gear.
- Travel costs by instructors in greater Auckland area
Client will provide DDL with;
- Adequate number of test vehicles, if required, for instruction
- Booking and cost of hire of venue(s) and
- All catering (if offered) and incidental daily expenses.
- Accommodation and travel expenses for out of Auckland courses.
